Decking Garden

A hardwood decking was laid on the diagonal, leading the eye towards the sunniest corner of the garden where an olive tree (Olea europea) provides a focal point.

Large bamboos were planted to provide privacy on either side of the garden. Two large box balls in containers provide punctuation points in the left hand border, and perennials flower in succession.

Tall grasses were used to provide height and movement at the end of the garden. Their bleached leaves and flower-heads still upright through winter.

The neighbouring wall was painted and the space now provides an area for quiet contemplation.
